Baja Brothers
A Soul Space For Men To Experience Brotherhood, Balance, and Becoming for themselves, their family, and work in Baja, Mexico
Jan 19th - 23rd Baja Theme: Fatherhood & Creation
Father Theme
You don’t need to be a Father to join this round of Baja Brothers, but you do need to be a son, dad, or father. If you are one of these, then you are likely familiar with The Hungry Ghost within. It doesn’t matter what stage of life you are in, what you’ve done, or what you are doing. Every Son, Every Dad, and Every Father, in their own way, in their own time, find themselves in new experiences of tension holding their conditioned self and essential self loosely together. Father energy is full expression. Father energy is head below the heart. This week isn’t about process, a path, or an outcome. It’s about disappearing and reappearing, it’s about restraint, attention, and taking new ground and establishing a divine perimeter around the current season of your soul. Weaving brotherhood, plant medicine, mythology, ceremony, laughter, play, ease, and forcelessness - together we succumb to the beauty of love.
Baja Brothers is a forceless yet potent space for men to look into the eyes of their unease and the heart of their dormant desires—and say, “I’m here. You owe me nothing. Let’s dance.”
Baja Brothers is curated through flow, laughter, relaxation, connection, spontaneity, and sacred experiences designed to re-enchant men with the truth of who they are.
Baja Brothers values wisdom over knowledge, playfulness over seriousness, and space over agenda.
Plant Teachers, Ceremonies & Experiences
For over 3,000 Years, the Grandfather Cactus has been honored by the indigenous peoples of the Andes for its power to awaken the spirit, open the heart, and return the soul to its natural harmony with all of life. Known as a sacred master plant teacher of profound gentleness and great potency.
The Temazcal is one of humanity’s oldest sanctuaries of remembering. Found across Mesoamerican traditions, it is a womb of stone and earth where we return to the beginning—to heat, breath, darkness, and song. Traditionally guided by the fire and the four elements, the Temazcal invites us to soften the armor we’ve learned to wear and come home to the truth beneath it.
Along with the Grandfather Cactus and Temazcal, there will be an opportunity to work with four additional sacred plant teachers from South America throughout the week to help with your vision, your thoughts, and your speech.
Hosted at Acueducto in Baja, Mexico.
Immersed within the spirit of Baja and its dramatic landscapes, Acueducto is a mindfully designed luxury home in between the desert, ocean and mountains of Baja Mexico.

About Ryan Wegenast
It’s In My Blood…
My life’s work began before me. My grandparents lived in the jungle for 20 years as builders, artists, and spiritual seekers, paving the way for the path I now walk.
I grew up in the cornfields of Nebraska, where life was simple yet polarizing. The mythical path revealed itself early: I could see, hear, and sense the spiritual nature of life, even while feeling deeply alone and confused.
Hungry for more myth, I left the cornfields for the military, serving in search and rescue before working in surgery alongside some of the Air Force Academy’s top surgeons. After leaving the military, I continued my surgical career in Nashville, TN—until 2008, when I experienced my own awakening.
That turning point led me to South America, where I began traveling and studying ancient wisdom, healing, and cosmology. At the same time, I was building a family (I’m the proud father of three beautiful girls), growing a business, and pursuing a PhD in mythical psychology. Through these threads—personal journey, time in the jungle, and doctoral research—I began weaving the body of work I now guide others through.
Today, I bring this lived experience into my role as a trusted advisor, researcher, and retreat guide. At the core, my work is not led by theory, opinion, or belief—it is grounded in lived experience and a proven history of walking alongside men as they navigate life’s thresholds.
